LJS takes part in School Fitness Week

13th September 2017

This week, pupils from Ludlow Junior School will be taking part in School Fitness Week and being part of the aim by Joe Wickes to get 1 million school children exercising and having fun.  THe week will run for 5 days, with a live workout streamed each day on the Joe Wickes YouTube channel at 10am from Monday September 11th - Friday 15th September 2017.

The aim of schools' week is to get more kids active and feel the benefits of exercise so young people can see that fitness can be fun and to love it!  Every day for a week, pupils will take part in a live 20-minute workout.

So far, it's been great fun with children really enjoying the sessions. More information can be found here.

Tesco Grant Update

6th July 2017

You may remember that we were lucky enough to receive  a £10,000 grant from the Tesco bags of help scheme.  Our umbrella shade is being well used and proving popular with children at lunchtime.

Gardening club have also used the grant to buy some new tools and storage for them to ensure they are kept in good condition.  Over the summer we are delighted to be having some new raised beds put in  – we can look forward to the children providing even more home grown produce next year.

Thank you Tesco

Welcome to our new year threes!

3rd July 2017

We are delighted to welcome our new children this afternoon.  Current year two children, who are joining us as year 3 in September, will be arriving at 12 noon for lunch and an afternoon in school with their new teachers.  They will also be meeting Mrs Mather, our new head, at the end of the day and will be collected from school by their parents at 3.15pm.  We hope they have a lovely afternoon.

The majority of our fantastic year sixes are spending an exciting two days at Ludlow High School getting ready for their move there in September.  They should go straight to the High School on both days.  Those who are going to other schools should come to school as normal.  Have a wonderful time!
