Reporting to Parents

There is a choice of two dates for parents evening early in the Autumn Term, when you can meet the class teacher to discuss how your child is settling in to their new class.

In the Spring Term we hold our main Parents Evening, this follows mid year assessments, so offers an opportunity to discuss your child’s progress in more depth and for you and the class teacher to talk about strategies to best support your child for them to fulfil their potential.

In the Summer Term you will receive a written report on your child’s progress. If you have any concerns about this you may make an appointment to discuss these with the class teacher. However, having already had an in depth meeting in the Spring Term, we would hope that there would not be any surprises. If we have any concerns we aim to deal with them as they arise.  If yiu require more than one copy of your child's report, please contact the school office to make arrangements.

Busy Last Week Ahead!

As we enter our last week before the summer holidays, we have lots going on including our lovely head, Mrs Swann, saying goodbye to us!  Here are some of the events:

  • Monday sees children meeting their new teachers and classmates in the afternoon.
  • Tuesday is our sponsored fun run in aid of Cancer Research where children are asked to come wearing in pink or blue clothes suitable for running.  Later that morning, Sports Awards will be presented.
  • Reading treats will be taking place for different year groups throughout the week
  • Year 6 continue to rehearse for their leavers' assembly which will be presented to parents and carers at 10am on Friday, 21st July in the hall (there will be a DVD of the performance to order).  Some of our year sixes will also be representing the school at the regional atheletics final on Thursday.
  • We are having a whole school picnic on Thursday at lunchtime to celebrate our time with Mrs Swann - don't forget packed lunches!
  • There is a special lunch on Friday, chosen by the year sixes, on their last day of primary school.

There's lots more going on besides so do keep an eye on Dojo for messages from individual teachers and for information on whole school activities.
