School Uniform

School uniform is compulsory

Currently the uniform states that the children can wear black or dark grey trousers or skirts.  However, to enable continuity from the Infant to the Junior School, and avoid any unnecessary costs to parents, we have decided that from September 2018, the incoming Year 3 children will have only the dark grey option for trousers and skirts not black. This change to the uniform will be phased in for all other year groups.

For children in Year 4 to 6, we ask that when you are replacing items of uniform, that you buy the dark grey instead of the black, however the children can continue to wear the black until you do replace items.

Our uniform consists of;

  • Dark grey trousers, shorts or skirts.
  • Red or White polo shirts or shirts (Available from most supermarkets online -use the click and collect service to avoid postage costs)
  • Red Sweatshirts with the school logo (see below) or red cardigans
  • In Summer girls sometimes prefer to wear red and white checked dresses.

Uniform can be ordered online at http://shop.schooluniformfactory.co.uk, please click on Ludlow Junior School on the left hand side to see and order our uniform.  Please note you will need a PayPal account to pay for your order online.  Alternatively, orders can be telephoned through on 01746 761701 and paid for by card.

Sweatshirts cost £8.50 through the online service and can be delivered, at no extra cost, directly to school. (deliveries on 1st Wednesday of the month) or you can pay for home delivery.

Footwear

Black school shoes or completely plain black trainers. This means no logos, hi tops or coloured soles.

If children come to school wearing clothes or footwear which is not part of our uniform, they will be provided with something from our supply of clean uniform and plain black pumps.

P.E.

For P.E. children wear blue or black shorts and white t-shirts and a change of trainers or shoes.  They are advised to bring joggers and a warm sweatshirt as lessons take place in all weather conditions.

PLEASE PUT YOUR CHILD’S NAME IN THEIR CLOTHING

Jewellery

Jewellery should be limited to one watch, plain stud earrings or sleepers.

No loose fitting jewellery is allowed for any reason.

County guidelines state that earrings and sleepers must be removed or taped up for P.E., Games and Swimming Lessons.  Children need to be able to do this themselves as for Health and Safety considerations staff are not allowed to assist.

Please remember that if your child has their ears pierced it will take at least six weeks to heal, and during this time earrings cannot be removed.  This may stop your child doing P.E., Games or Swimming.
