Friends of School

We have an active Friends of School who organise lots of different social events for pupils and parents, including Discos, Social Evenings, Bingo and Quiz Nights.  They also raise valuable additional funds for school.  They are a very friendly group who always welcome new members.  Please let us know if you are willing to become involved, all help is appreciated, even if you can only support one or two events each year.

Thank you to all who returned the christmas card and mug orders.  We had a fantastic response.  The finished products should be back in school by mid November.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Bags2Schools, we will update you with a total of money raised as soon as possible.

Thank you also for those who helped and supported the Halloween Disco, we managed to raise over £250.00.

Proceeds of any fundraising is currently being targeted at the school’s outside area.  During the summer holidays a group of volunteers spent three days clearing a couple of areas at the back of the school, which we hope to develop into spaces that pupils will enjoy using.  A BIG thank you to all those who attended the work parties.

This week, pupils from Ludlow Junior School will be taking part in School Fitness Week and being part of the aim by Joe Wickes to get 1 million school children exercising and having fun.  THe week will run for 5 days, with a live workout streamed each day on the Joe Wickes YouTube channel at 10am from Monday September 11th - Friday 15th September 2017.

The aim of schools' week is to get more kids active and feel the benefits of exercise so young people can see that fitness can be fun and to love it!  Every day for a week, pupils will take part in a live 20-minute workout.
