The Travel Plan

As a Healthy School we encourage children to walk or cycle to school as soon as they feel confident enough to do this. We have a Travel Plan group who look at ways of encouraging this in a safe and supportive way.

We also undertake road safety with pupils, Year 3 have recently been involved in the Stepping Out programme, teaching them to be aware of road safety.

As part of our road safety awareness, on Thursday 27th June 2013, Year 6 went on a Tour De Ludlow cycle ride down to Ludlow School in readiness for their start in September.  The ride was organised by Ray Hughes, Travel Shropshire Manager and British Cycling Go Ride Coach/Leader.

Even though the weather wasn't brilliant, a good and safe time was had by all.

Non Uniform Day Friday 16th February

Next Friday 16th February we are going to have a non-uniform day. It is traditional for children to bring a donation for the privilege of not wearing uniform. The donations will be for a pupil who has recently undergone surgery to cure his epilepsy, to give to either the Epilepsy Charity, Ronald McDonald House or the Birmingham Children’s Hospital. We would suggest that the children wear something red as he is a keen Arsenal fan.
