Year 5 Maths

All children will be given a MY MATHS log in and they will have weekly homework tasks to complete. There are lots of games on this website children can play to practise their Maths skills.

There is a daily homework club run every lunchtime so your child can use this opportunity to have help and support with their homework and use the laptops to practise maths skills if they don't have access to the internet at home.

These are some of useful websites for Maths:

Maths Is Fun

Top Marks

This website Maths Wrap has lots of games, tips and videos to help your child with Maths and explains some of the methods (such as number lines) taught and used in school.  This article is all about how to support your child in maths and tips on how to make maths fun.

The games are fun (some are quite challenging!)

Non Uniform Day Friday 16th February

Next Friday 16th February we are going to have a non-uniform day. It is traditional for children to bring a donation for the privilege of not wearing uniform. The donations will be for a pupil who has recently undergone surgery to cure his epilepsy, to give to either the Epilepsy Charity, Ronald McDonald House or the Birmingham Children’s Hospital. We would suggest that the children wear something red as he is a keen Arsenal fan.
